As part of its Multi-Sector Emergency Response and Relief Program, SAFE organization, with funding from the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), successfully distributed hygiene kits and mattresses to 300 internally displaced families from Northern Gaza now sheltering in Gaza City
The $35,600 project, implemented between May and July 2024, addressed the urgent hygiene and basic living needs of families affected by ongoing conflict. Each kit included essential items such as soap, sanitary pads, shampoo, toothpaste, and a mattress—critical supplies that have become inaccessible due to mass displacement and worsening humanitarian conditions.
The initiative aimed to restore a sense of dignity and comfort for vulnerable populations, especially women, who face heightened challenges under crisis conditions. SAFE worked closely with local partners to ensure culturally sensitive and safe distribution, reinforcing the importance of inclusive, gender-responsive aid during emergencies.
